Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well in ABC's Lost TV show. After her parents' divorce the actress left Worthington Ohio in order to settle in Los Angeles. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first role as Rachel's Room's main character the video on-demand show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The TV film Murder in Greenwich, in which she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for the Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford, the character she played in Lost between 2004 and 2005, was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace, who had worked alongside Tom Welling on The Fog in 2005, decided to make the move into film. In 2007, she appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and also, as Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of role. Grace reprised Shannon's role as Shannon in Lost for two additional episodes, which included the finale of the series. The year was 2013, and she appeared in the sixth episode of Californication. She plays Faith who's both an avid stargazer as well as a socialite. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. The other roles she played were the role of a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in the film Frank (2014) and the title role in the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal's first film as a writer and director was in 2021 with The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama that won her an award at the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. In addition, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
